Carolina Wrens

As I was walking along the Leon Creek stream bed on my way back to the trailhead on Monday, September 26, I happened across a flock of Carolina Wrens foraging through the leaves covering the ground. The Carolina wren is one of the more common small songbirds in Bexar County and have appeared in several other posts including the second bird in yesterday's. On this particular walk in late September, there were a very large number of them feeding (or in this case, feasting) in this area of Leon Creek.
