The Greater Roadrunner I photographed in the trees at Bamberger Nature Park on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 appeared adept at running along the tree branches and moving from tree to tree, but it still seemed to be a bit of a departure from its normal behavior. However, this past Friday (February 15, 2013) on my walk at Stone Oak Park, there was a roadrunner out in an open savannah area where one would more typically expect to see this fascinating bird:
