The first time I started a walk from the Robert Tobin Park trailhead on Monday, May 23, the trail under Loop 410 connecting to the trail south from Lady Bird Johnson Park was still under construction. That connection has been complete for a while.
My schedule today was a bit more hectic than usual for a Monday, so an afternoon walk close to home turned out to be the best option. Today I took advantage of the new connection and walked north from Robert Tobin Park. While the creek does not have a continuous flow of water at the moment, there are more pools throughout the creek bed than on any of my previous walks along Salado Creek.
Once again, the photos tell their own story.
