San Antonio River, Mission Reach, Concepcíon Park Trailhead downstream
Today's photos:
San Antonio public schools had their first day of class for the fall semester today; a reminder that fall is approaching. Many of the plants along the river have gone to seed, providing another indication of fall's impending onset. However, climatologically, it is still very much summer and will be for several more weeks.
One of the primary reasons I walked this section of the river today was to take photos of the ecological restoration project at the confluence of Concepcíon Creek and the San Antonio River. The work there has been going on for sometime, but is now beginning to take on major proportions. I'll have more on that topic in an upcoming post.
