Indiangrass
Indiangrass (
Sorghastrum nutans
(L.) Nash
)
is one of the four primary
Tallgrass Prairie
grasses. The other three are
Big Bluestem
,
Little Bluestem
and
Switchgrass
. Its distinctive yellow, some may say golden, inflorescence begins to bloom in August and continues well into autumn:
